Archie out of a job
Yes, barely four month since the release of sophomore record, The Other Side Of The Down, David Archuleta has been dropped by his record label.
According to The Hollywood Reporter (and confirmed by MTV.com), the 20-year-old American Idol finalist was dropped by his label, Jive, after sales of his recent album stalled at just above 60,000 units.
What a letdown!
Archie�s eponymous debut sold over 750,000 copies in America and over a million copies worldwide. And at almost 250,000, even his holiday record, Christmas From The Heart, has sold more units than the current record.
Poor Archie. What will he do now?
