Oh no, what did we do wrong now?
Shocking right? A source spilled: "(Anne) had to provide all the energy -- he was just phoning it in."
Even producers of the Oscars were not too happy with James' attitude. "James seemed in his own little world (during the broadcast)," said the source.
Anne, of course, rubbished the rumour: �I�m in love with James Franco. The world is in love with James Franco right now. He�s wonderful, and thank God for him. He�s so original, he�s doing his own thing and he doesn�t care about what anyone thinks about him, I really look up to him.�
Stars who attended the Oscars (ratings dropped seven per cent compared to last year) had nothing nice to say about the way Anne and James handled the show, calling them "awkward" and "uneven".
One star told The Chicago Sun-Times: �When I saw Billy Crystal make that surprise appearance onstage � and we saw how funny he is � it made me want to scream, �Bring Billy back!� Maybe even tonight, before this show is over!�
Former Oscar host Whoppi Goldberg wasn't impressed either. "But this is a show that, it's on you to keep it going. It's on you. You have to be able to surf in this show. And I didn't think they surfed as much as they could have."
Well then, it looks like Anne and James won't be returning as hosts next year!
