Stars Campaign Against Government Control Orders

On the eve of the 2011 Oscars, stars lined up to condemn the unsafe and unfair control order scheme, repackaged as Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures by the Coalition Government in Britain.

Anyone subject to a control order is living under constant and indefinite suspicion ? not just from the authorities, but from their communities, friends and all who know them. Control orders by-pass criminal justice and the safeguards that guarantee fair trial. It makes you think…doesn’t it?…”
